This policy explains what Shredo ("Shredo," "we," "us") collects, why, and the control you have. The short version: your data exists to score your plates and track your progress:we don't sell it, we don't run ads, and your photos aren't used to train AI models.
What we don't do: no selling or renting your personal information, no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and no training AI models on your photos.
We use a small set of service providers, each only for the purpose listed:
Nothing about you is visible to anyone unless you join the community. If you do, your first name, plate scores, streaks, and plate photos are visible to the members of your crew only:never publicly. You can leave the community, leave a crew, or block and report another member (press and hold their name) at any time.
Records are protected with row-level access controls so that you can only ever access your own data — and crew members can see only what community sharing describes above.
We keep your data while you use the app, and you can remove it at any time:
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with per-user access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we deliberately collect little and scope every record to its owner.
Shredo is not directed at children and is intended for users 13 and older (teens with a parent or guardian's involvement). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13:if you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you use Shredo from elsewhere, your information is processed in the US, where privacy laws may differ from your country's. We apply the same protections described here to all users.
Depending on where you live (including California under the CCPA and the EEA/UK under the GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to object to or limit certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data-protection authority. Most of these are built into the app (deletion, analytics opt-out, leaving the community). For anything else, email support@shredo.ai:we respond to verified requests within 30 days and never discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Where GDPR applies, our lawful bases are contract (providing the Service you asked for), consent (community sharing, analytics, Health access), and legitimate interests (security and service improvement).
Shredo provides estimates and general guidance from your photos and weigh-ins. It is not medical advice, and results vary from person to person. Consult a healthcare professional before making health or diet changes.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
