These Terms of Use ("Terms") are the agreement between you and Shredo ("Shredo," "we," "us") for the Shredo mobile application and related services (together, the "Service"). By downloading or using Shredo you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Please read the health and community sections carefully.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Shredo. If you are between 13 and 17, you may use the Service only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use. Shredo is a nutrition-guidance app and is not directed at children.
Shredo analyzes photos of your meals using artificial intelligence and returns automated approximations — a Plate Score, suggested adjustments, and estimated nutrition for the photographed plate. AI analysis of a photograph is inherently imprecise: portion sizes, hidden ingredients, and preparation methods can only be estimated. You acknowledge that all outputs are estimates, not measurements, and may be inaccurate.
Shredo provides general nutrition information and encouragement. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not treatment, and not a substitute for the judgment of a licensed professional. Results vary from person to person, and no outcome is promised or guaranteed. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your diet or exercise:especially if you are pregnant or nursing, have a medical condition, take medication, or have a history of disordered eating. If a professional has given you a specific plan, follow theirs.
Shredo works without registration (an anonymous account is created automatically) and optionally lets you sign in with Apple or Google to back up your history. You are responsible for the activity on your account and for the security of the devices and sign-in methods you use. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time in the app (Profile → "Delete account & data").
You keep ownership of the content you submit:your photos, name, and information. You must have the right to submit what you upload (photograph your own food; don't upload other people's images without permission). You grant Shredo a limited license to process your content solely to operate the Service: to analyze your photos, store your history, and:only while you're opted into the community:display your first name, scores, streaks, and plate photos to your crew. We do not use your photos to train AI models and we do not sell your content.
Community features (crews and shared plates) are strictly opt-in. When you use them, you agree that there is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior:
You will not post offensive, hateful, harassing, threatening, sexual, or otherwise objectionable names, photos, or content, and you will not harass, bully, impersonate, or abuse other users.
If and when Shredo offers paid features or subscriptions, payment is processed by the app store you purchased through (Apple App Store or Google Play), under that store's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; manage or cancel them in your app-store account settings. Except where required by law or by the app store's policy, payments are non-refundable:refund requests are handled by the app store.
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example: AI analysis, cloud hosting, sign-in, and analytics — see the Privacy Policy for the current list). We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control, including links to external websites.
Except for your content, the Service:including its design, branding, code, and content:belongs to Shredo and is protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the Shredo name, logo, or branding.
You may stop using Shredo and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse other users, or create risk for the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive (including 5–7 and 12–15) survive termination.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that estimates will be accurate, and we do not guarantee any particular health, weight, or fitness outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Shredo will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on the Service's estimates or guidance. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or US $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@shredo.ai and give us 30 days to work in good faith to resolve the dispute informally.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll revise the date above and, for material changes, provide notice in the app. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
